Where the handoff fails

The classic failure is a piece built exactly to drawings that no longer match the building. Field conditions moved, a wall landed an inch off, a slab poured high, and now the installer is modifying finished metalwork on a punch-list deadline while the fabricator and the erector point at each other.

Every one of those problems is cheap to solve in the shop and expensive to solve on site. The question is who catches it, and when.

One company, both ends

When the fabricator installs its own work, the incentives line up. We field measure before we build, because our own crew inherits any error. The installers know exactly how each piece was built, what it weighs, where it can be adjusted, and what must not be cut. And when something on site genuinely changes, the shop that can remake the part is a phone call away, not a subcontract negotiation.

Working the schedule, not around it

Construction schedules move, and metal has to slot between trades. Because fabrication and installation share one calendar, we can hold finished work at the shop until the site is ready and land it in the window that exists, not the one from the original schedule.
